Zelda's killers sentenced

In September 2018 I posted about the senseless murder of a lady biker; Zelda in Capetown. She had stopped on the side of the busy N1 to wait for a friend when she was approached by two scumbags who robbed her and then shot her. They could easily have overpowered and robbed her, the shooting was a hate crime.

Thankfully they were arrested shortly afterwards, they were sentenced in court yesterday the 5th February. They asked for leniency because they were remorseful and they had children to raise! Those children will be far better off without any influence from those pieces of shit.

Lucian Ackerman was sentenced to life in prison for the murder, fifteen years for robbery with aggravating circumstances, ten years for the illegal possession of a firearm and five years for the possession of ammunition. The sentences will run concurrently, he will serve an effective twenty five years.

His co accused Michael Pietersen was sentenced to twenty years for the murder, ten years for robbery with aggravated circumstances with five years running concurrently, he will also serve an effective twenty five years.

It's good news I suppose, justice has been served and some small consolation for Zelda's friends and family but personally I hope those two are never released, may they die in prison. I'm sorry but this sort of thing brings out the worst in me.
