Welcome!

Welcome to my blog, these are the ramblings and musings of an (upper) middle aged biker and if you enjoy braais, (barbeques) beers and motorbikes then hopefully you will enjoy what Janet and I do; we do lots of braais, we drink lots of beer and we tour South Africa on our motorbike, which at the moment is a BMW R1200RT. Join us, read about what we do and please leave us your comments.

Money's tight, a sign of the times

The result of club members work at the supermarkets in September 2016, an impressive collection of non-perishable food items.
This was from our efforts in September 2017, also an impressive collection.
This was the result of our collection at the beginning of September this year. We did nothing different, in fact we had one more shop than last year and I did a lot of advertising on the local business sites but it was just more difficult to get the public to donate. This is a definite sign that times are tough, I do not look upon our efforts as a waste of time though, that is still a lot of food that will go to needy people but when you think that sixteen members put in four hours at four different collection points that's not very much to show for it.
